Re-Opening Procedures

Re-Opening Procedures

We are incredibly excited to share that Governor Newsom announced on Friday that gyms are allowed to open as of Friday, June 12. After reviewing the guidelines, we are adjusting our operations accordingly to ensure the safety of our members and staff.

Here is how we intend to proceed:

We are asking for your assistance to help protect yourself, fellow members and coaches.

Please review this list of guidelines to ensure the safety of others prior to arrival.

  • You have not experienced or been exposed to others exhibiting the following symptoms:
    • Fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, body aches, loss of smell/taste
  • You agree to wear a face covering upon entrance and exiting the facility
  • You agree to follow social distancing guidelines by staying within your designated workout area
  • You agree to not share equipment with other members
  • You agree to have your temperature taken via a non-contact infrared thermometer upon arrival
    • If a fever is detected, you will be asked to go home and not return until you are showing no symptoms for at least 14 days unless you can provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

EQUIPMENT RENTALS

We will begin the process this week in returns of rented equipment. If you plan to take in person classes, all of your equipment must be returned in order to do so. If you plan to not return to the gym and instead continue to utilize our online services and workout at home, you may keep up to TWO items and return any excess equipment. All rowers and assault bikes must be returned, regardless of your decision to join in-person classes or online.

Please return the equipment to the location which it was borrowed

Our equipment drop-off times are as follows:

CLASS CAP & RESERVATION

We will implement a cap at 10 people per class and will manage this through our reservation system on PushPress. You will be able to sign up for class 24 hours in advance. To honor your reservation, you must show up on time. You can view how to reserve a class here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPvHbjwZoIw&feature=youtu.be

If you do not intend to use your reservation, we ask that you promptly cancel it to allow a space for anyone else who would like to attend class.

CHECK-IN

Please wait in your cars in the parking lot until the coach calls you in to check-in. As you enter and leave the building, you must wear a mask but the mask can be removed once you are at your workout station. The coach will check the temperature of each member entering and will check them into class. Anyone without a reservation will be asked to wait until all reservations have been accounted for. If we have no-shows or less than 10 reservations, then you will be able to join class. We will have a separate door for you to exit from at the end of class.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR ATHLETES

You will be given a space for your workout to take place to ensure social distancing measures. Each space will be equipped with a disinfecting kit for all equipment. We ask that you bring your own water bottle and towel to use to minimize the spread of the virus. You will also need to bring your own personal equipment such as weight belts, chalk, grips, etc. as they will not be provided by the gym.

CLASS STRUCTURE

Each class will be 1 hour long with 15 minutes between class for staff to disinfect the space before checking in the next class. We will be unable to accommodate anyone to stay after to do additional workouts and ask that you clean up and exit promptly at the end of class to enable us to stay on time for the following classes. Please refer to our PushPress schedules for class times.

ONLINE CLASSES

We understand not everyone will be ready to return, whether you are immunocompromised or uncomfortable given the environment. As a result, we will continue to offer our online Zoom class, but the schedule will be modified. Our live daily Zoom class will be held at 6:30AM Monday through Friday, and it will be recorded and able to be accessed through the rest of the day. We will continue to offer our at-home bodyweight and dumbbell program.
